JR Venture 30
Acquired: August 2006
Flight Status: Active

My son's first helicopter. He was off the training gear in under a week and flying figure eights the following week. We're already planning out a Raptor 50 to replace it. It's enough to make you sick.

Great Planes U-Can-Do 60
Acquired: August 2006
Flight Status: Active

This is my son's plane. Not really my style, but I have to admit--it's a great flyer.

SIG Kadet Senior
Acquired: May 2006
Flight Status: Active

Simply an amazing airplane. The O.S. 70 4-Stroke under her cowl is one of the sweetest engines I've ever owned. With the taildragger conversion and side-mounted engine, this is one beautiful airplane.

Hangar 9 UltraStick 60
Acquired: March 2006
Flight Status: Active

What can I say. I loved flying my UltraStick 60 so much that I just had to replace the one I lost last year. Since these always come out nose heavy, I mounted the the servos in the tail and upgraded the tailwheel. It now balances with no extra weight and the battery right behind the fuel tank.

Q-HOR
Acquired: March 2006
Flight Status: Sold

This is our first SPAD. I flys ok for what it is. It's great to take to the field when it's really windy and don't want to mess up a nice plane.

Kangke/Super Kraft Monocoupe 90A
Acquired: February 2006
Flight Status: Retired (The Hard Way)

Traded for this beauty at the below mentioned swap meet. It didn't survive it's maiden flight. Plane too heavy + insufficient power + 15-20mph winds on maiden flight + lack of scale experience = well, you get the idea. Actually I did manage to keep her airborne for a few minutes, including one touch and go, but an upwind turn with too little airspeed resulted in a tip stall and a death spiral. I guess we live and learn--sometimes the hard way!

Hobby Lobby Mini-Telemaster
Acquired: February 2006
Flight Status: Sold

It picked-up this little gem at a swap meet. It was kit-built and the guy did an excellent job. What a great flying little plane. I finished her off with an AXI 2208/34, CC25 and 3S-1500 LiPos. I might add ailerons at some point, but it flys well as a 3-channel for now. It will most likely end up on floats at some point.

Cermark Javelin II
Acquired: January 2006
Flight Status: Sold

My first pattern plane. I've been intrigued by them for some time and this was a inexpensive way to get my feet wet. This plane flew very well, but I decided I was getting too many 40-size planes in the hangar.

ACE Big Bingo
Acquired: November 2005
Flight Status: Sold

I finally got a flight on this plane and it flew well. I eventually decided it was just too big for me to haul around and I needed the money for another project.

Great Planes Slow Poke
Acquired: November 2005
Flight Status: Sold

You either love it or hate it! I love the way it looks, and it flys well, but just wasn't my style after all.

SIG Somethin' Extra
Acquired: October 2005
Flight Status: Active

I really like this plane. With an Thunder Tiger .46, its just a great, no hassle, easy to transport, Sunday flier.

Hangar 9 Twist 3D
Acquired: September 2005
Flight Status: Sold

Great Flying airplane, just not quite my style.

SIG 3D Mayhem
Acquired: August 2005
Flight Status: Active

Without a doubt--my favorite plane. With the Magnum 1.20 4-Stroke, this plane is just a blast to fly. It "floats" around the sky with authority and sounds great to boot! It slows down more than my UltraStick 60 with the crow feature turned on. If you don't own one of these beauties, you're missing out!

Accel Hobbies Katana Profile 40
Acquired: July 2005
Flight Status: Sold

This is my son's plane. Great flying plane if you're into that 3D stuff!

Carl Goldberg Sukhoi SU-26
Acquired: 2005
Flight Status: Sold

I picked up this kit-built Sukhoi from a friend of mine. It was already in the bones, but it still took me a lot of hours to finish it. Unfortunately, my skill level wasn't quite up to the task of flying it. I banked a little too hard, with too little speed on a dead stick landing. The right wing tip stalled about 30 feet off the ground and the rest is history. It was rebuilt and traded.

Ultrafly Extra 300S
Acquired: 2005
Flight Status: Sold

This plane flies correctly for it's size, which makes it a handful. With a brushless motor and 2000mAh, high-discharge LiPo, it's a rocket ship with unlimited vertical!

Sig Piper J3 Cub 40
Acquired: 2005
Flight Status: Sold

This was my second major R/C project. I had to cover the wing and do all the finish/assembly work. Flew it a few times, but didn't care for the flight characteristics at all!

Todd's Model's Tiny-X
Acquired: 2005
Flight Status: Sold

I thought this plane would be a lot of fun to fly around the house, but it was just to fast (and sensitive) for my tastes. After an indoor crash wiped out the V-tail, I scratch-built the correct tail feathers for it according to the plans. The only mod I made was to build in a functional rudder.

SIG Demoiselle
Acquired: 2005
Flight Status: Sold

I bought this little gem at a swap meet for a few bucks. It was busted up and the tail group was hanging off of it, but I figured the GWS motor was worth something and I needed it for another project. Long story short, I realized how little it would take to fix it (basically a little CA) and it was a regular indoor flyer during the winter months. The fully articulating tail group is really unique.

Ace Cloud Dancer 60
Acquired: 2005
Flight Status: Sold

This is a kit-built Dancer with (it think) a slightly modified tail group. I picked it up at a swap meet as my first low wing plane (the Tiger wasn't finished yet). I wasn't expecting much, but it turned out to be a great flying plane.

Carl Goldberg Tiger 2
Acquired: 2004
Flight Status: Sold

It was one of our first major rebuilt projects. It was fairly rough when I acquired it. We stripped it down to bare wood, rebuilt the fin and rudder from scratch and replaced virtually everything in the plane. It's like new and flys even better!

Hangar 9 Ultra Stick 60
Acquired: October 2004
Flight Status: Retired (The Hard Way)

This was one of my favorite planes to fly. "The Crow" feature allows this plane to do some very interesting things. Unfortunately, it's no longer with us. Loss of radio control resulted in a near full-power dive into Mother Earth.

GWS Slow Stick
Acquired: September 2004
Flight Status: Active

The Slow Stick has proven itself to be simple and versatile platform. It's setup with lights for night flying, I'm working on a camera mount for aerial photography and I recently turned it into a flying boat. It handles the water great! Click here to see pictures of her maiden flight on the water!

Hangar 9 Alpha 40
Acquired: August 2004
Flight Status: Sold

This was our first plane and was a pleasure to learn on. She wasn't seeing much flight time as of late, but I think that's about to change. I just finished converting her to a float plane. Click here to see pictures of her maiden flight on the water!
